Second Half of Maple Landmark’s New 2016 Product Line to Debut at NY Now.

Two Additional Building Blocks Sets—Castle Set and Main Street America Set to be Unveiled.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—As a follow-up to the three thematic block sets (Mission 1 Space, Country Farm, and Noah’s Ark) developed for January’s NY Now Gift Show, two new sets (Castle and Main Street America) will round out the collection and give children of all ages the opportunity to explore, build, experiment, and create their own worlds.

The two new sets come with 21-22 pieces of locally harvested hardwood maple that has been sanded smooth to the touch. Bright graphics are printed on one side and each piece measures 1” thick to provide stability when building, stacking and playing. The sets also come in a re-useable box for storage.

Children can have their own “game of thrones” with the Castle Set. The 21-piece set has 11 castle blocks able to build tall towers and an archway for a portcullis to protect against the included fire breathing dragon! Merlin, the Court Jester, the King and the Queen live safely with the protection of the three knights. Other pieces are a sword in the stone and a rock hurling catapult.

The 22-piece Main Street America Set is a collection of nine buildings and roofs, four store fronts (Pet Shop, General Store, Diner and an Ice Cream Shop), a Hospital, a Firehouse, a tall tree with a cat, and six citizens enjoying their day on Main Street. Plenty of bright colors to make Main Street a happy place!

Unlike the typical play/building sets, these sets, though thematic, allow for completely open-ended play. These sets are also not gender biased—no pink for girls, blue for boys. The imagery is fun and kid-friendly and with all of the pieces being crafted from hardwood maple, these sets will last a lifetime.
