My Activity Clock One of Many New Products To Debut at NY NOW

Vermont Toy Maker, Maple Landmark, Introduces Two Dozen New Products For Second Half of 2014 Buying Season.

Middlebury, VT—My Activity Clock is a fully interactive educational toy geared for toddlers. Made in Middlebury, VT, the clock is cut from hardwood plywood measuring 10-1/2" wide and 13" tall with a slot stand for easy play. The clock has 12 removable activity disks that are blank on the back so children and caregivers can add their own activities. The moveable hands are securely fastened and the dials for weather and days of the week turn easily.

My Activity Clock introduces and develops over twelve educational concepts and activities to older toddlers. On the very basic level, My Activity Clock teaches numbers, time, weather and days of the week. It also helps little ones develop gross motor skills like putting the activity disks in and out of the clock face and fine motor skills such as setting the hands and turning the dials for days of the week and weather.

More advanced educational opportunities come in word recognition, spelling and creativity as children can make their own activity disks for things they like to do. The clock can also help children develop a sense of self control, scheduling and routine as certain things happen the same time every day—bedtime, naptime, etc. Studies have shown that early development of a basic routine helps children transition into formal educational and other institutional type settings.

“There are lots of other versions of play clocks but ours is special because of its flexibility, educational opportunities and the ability of caregivers to customize the disks for their own lifestyle,” commented Bob Bougor, member of Maple Landmark’s Product Development Team.
