New Lift and Learn Leaf Puzzle Perfect for Nature Centers
Maple Landmark Woodcraft’s Newest Toddler Puzzle is Fun and Educational
Middlebury, VT—Available in February, the new ‘Lift and Learn’ leaf puzzle from Maple Landmark Woodcraft offers older toddlers and preschoolers the opportunity to learn about the world around them.
The 11" x 15" puzzle has 6 richly colored leaves inset into a labelled frame. Lift out the leaves and learn a researched fact about that specific tree. Each leaf is depicted not only with the correct shape and color but also the correct common name. The leaves are cut from 1/4" hardwood plywood, decorated with a durable ink and finished with a clear satin finish.
“We had a lot of success with our ‘Lift and Learn’ Peterson Backyard Bird puzzle and this style of puzzle seems to fill a niche. Older toddlers are too young for the multi-piece puzzle but too old for the single image puzzle, our lift and learn puzzles offer a range of developmental skill building. First the puzzle is tactile—focusing on gross motor skills then more cognitive with word recognition, spelling, and reading comprehension” said Barbara Rainville, member of the product development team.
