Middlebury, VT—Creative Child Magazine has named two of the new Schoolhouse Naturals products to their 2008 Honor Roll. The Push N' Pulls garnered the 2008 Preferred Choice Award in the Toddler Toys category while the Shape Sorter Bench was named Toy of the Year in the Toddler Block Toys category. The award winners are chosen by a panel of over 50 moms, educator and other professionals.
The Push N' Pulls come in three different designs—truck, bunny and elephant. Each measures over 6" long and 5" tall. As the name implies, the toy is designed to be pushed and pulled. The large handle on the back gives little hands plenty of room to grab on and push. By adding a string, through the hole in the front, a pull toy is created for the toddler/walkers. Each Push N Pull is crafted from locally harvested hardwood maple, sanded smooth, lasered details and assembled—no finishes. http://dealers.maplelandmark.com/images/2008new/LowRes/73150-push-bun-r.jpg.
The Shaper Sorter Bench is likewise crafted from locally harvested hardwood maple, sanded smooth with lasered details. And like all of the Schoolhouse Naturals products there is no finish. The Shape Sorter Bench has 12 pegs in all—3 blocks of 4 different shapes—circle, square, rectangle, triangle. The Bench comes with a cloth pouch for easy peg storage. http://dealers.maplelandmark.com/images/2008new/LowRes/73031-shape-sorter-bench.jpg.
